A Walk In The Park.

April 19, 2008

It was a walk in the park; a stroll through a mini eden; a breath of fresh air, just to be outside meandering down paths in the dappled light under canopies of cedar, fir and blossoming trees.

We happened upon a boardwalk crossing a marsh filled with plants and grasses; some looking like they’re right out of the “Little Shop of Horrors,” movie.

Bright yellow, often odiferous, skunk cabbage reach up for ribbons of sunlight through the trees.

The escaped swan from another part of the park finding a pond more to its liking, where the reflection from willow trees creates an impressionist “painting.”

Then to come across this Japanese garden; contemplative and shaded under the trees, was a fine ending to our day.

But we were not alone.
