Color Me Spring.

May 2, 2008

Out and about the other day, the array of flowers in splendiferous colors got me kicking up my heels. It also got me thinking how color affects and influences just about everything in our lives: from nature to man made structures and objects; from indoor environments to the arts and design; from food and food presentation to clothing; from fiction to poetry, music and song. And mood.

Nothing clashes in nature, though some color combinations are more pleasing to us than others.

Even a more monochrome “palette” can elicit a warm response.

While still pondering color’s impact on our lives, I serendipitously came across the Rock List of Reader’s Best Color Songs from Rolling Stone 3/3/08
