Crazy Time.

It’s crazy time right now: we’re in the middle of packing up approximately half of our combined goods (the rest will have to wait until we sell the house in the Midwest) for our move to the Pacific Northwest.  

We are grumpy and have aching backs, and the garage is filled to overflowing with packed boxes and many more yet to be filled. “Do you really want that?”  Some-one who shall remain nameless will ask; as if the exhilarating exercise called packing is something I’m doing for things/stuff/objects I have no desire to ever cast my eyes upon again. So with a semi-clenched jaw I mutter, “of course,” and return to taping shut boxes, constantly reminding myself of the tranquil bays and distant snow-capped mountains at the end of this journey.
