What A Night To Remember. Thank You Mr. Obama!

November 6, 2008
Tuesday night was the night to remember.
It reminded me of the night Nelson Mandela became the first black president of South Africa. After days of voting where thousands of, mostly first time, voters had stood patiently for hours; where polling places stayed open to accommodate everyone waiting in line; where those lines of people wove around city blocks, towns and remote villages for the chance to vote for a new beginning for all citizens of that country; where the man they were electing was larger than life: a transformational figure who embodied reconciliation, brilliance, patience, hope, unity and the promise of something far greater than himself………that amazing night……

It felt like that again Tuesday.
